A Marvellous Closing Ceremony Of The 39th World Chess Olympiad 2010 In Khanty-Mansiysk


The 39th Chess Olympiad that took place In Khanty-Mansiysk from 19 September to 4 October came to an end with a huge success.In the Open section : Ukraine took the gold with 19 points ,followed by Russia 1 with 18 points then came Israel with 17 points.In the women section :Russia 1 deservedly took the gold with 22 points ,followed by China with 18 points then came Georgia with 16 points.

The Egyptian team -in the open section ranked 40th-came in the 41 place and in the women section ranked 73 came int 85th place .The Egyptian team were -in the open section-GM\Ahmed Adly (2630) ,GM\Bassem Amin (2578) who came the 10th in the final standing on board (2) with 8.5 out of 10 games without any loss   ,IM\Khaled Abd ELrazik (2480) ,IM\Samy Shoker (2458) and IM\ Mohamed Ezzat (2448) .
In the Women section were:Myada Elgohary (1751) ,Eman El Ansary (1830) ,WGM\Mona Khaled , WIM\Sohair Basta (2030) ,Fayrouz Elgohary (1820)
